GPRS Settings
Step by Step
From the Main Menu ,go to Tools > Select Settings > Select Connection Settings > Select Access Points > Select New Access Point > Select Use Existing Default Settings
- Connection Name : Safaricom GPRS
- Data Bearer : Packet Data/GPRS
- APN/Access Point Name : safaricom
- Username : saf
- Prompt Password : No
- Password : data
- Authentication : Normal
- Homepage : www.safaricom.co.ke
Exit and Go back to Main Menu > Select Web/Services > Select Options > Select Settings > Select Default Access Point > Select Safaricom GPRS
To browse: From Main Menu > Select Web/Services > Select Options > Select Navigation Options > Select Go to Web Address and enter the address eg MMS Settings
From the Main Menu, Select Tools > Select Settings > Select Connection Settings > Select Access Points > Select New Access Point > Select Use Existing Default Settings

- Select Options >Select Advanced Settings

- Primary Name Server : 000.000.000.000
- Secondary Name Server: 000.000.000.000
- Proxy Server Address: 172.022.002.038
- Proxy Port Number: 8080
Exit and Go to Messaging on Main Menu > Select Options > Select Settings >Select Multi Media Message
- Image Size : Original
- MMS Creation Mode : Guided
- Access Point in Use : Safaricom MMS
- Multimedia Retrieval : Always /Automatic
- Allow Anon. Messages : Yes
- Receive Reports : Yes
- Message Validity : Maximum
