GPRS Settings
From Main Menu go to Settings > Select Connectivity > Select Internet Settings>Select Internet Profiles> Select New/Add Profile
- Profile Name Safaricom GPRS
- Connect Using Select New Account/Press Add
- Select GPRS/Packet Switch/PS Data
- Name Safaricom GPRS
- APN/Access Point/PS Data Name safaricom
- User saf
- Password data
- Select Save
- Go Back to WAP Profiles > Select Safaricom GPRS
- Select Connect Using Safaricom GPRS
- Select save
Go Back to Profiles and Highlight Safaricom GPRS > Select More/Edit>Select Settings
- Connect Using Safaricom GPRS
- Internet Mode HTTP
- Username saf
- Password data
- Select Save
- Go back to More/Edit >Select Advanced > Select Change Homepage
- Name Safaricom
- Address wap.safaricom.com
- Select Save
Go back to profiles and select Safaricom GPRS
To browse, go to Internet Services, Select More, and Select Go to address and enter the address e.g. www.safaricom.co.ke
MMS Settings
From Main Menu, go to Settings> Select Connectivity >Select Internet Settings
Go to Internet Profiles > Select New/Add Profile
Go to Internet Profiles > Select New/Add Profile
- Name Safaricom MMS
- Connect Using Select New Account/Press Add
- Select GPRS/Packet Switch/PS Data
- Name Safaricom MMS
- APN/Access Point/PS Data Name safaricom
- Username saf
- Password data
- Press Save
- Go Back to WAP Profiles > Select Safaricom MMS
- Connect Using Select Safaricom MMS
- Select save
Go Back to Profiles and Highlight Safaricom mms > Select More/Edit>Select Settings
- Connect Using Safaricom MMS
- Internet Mode WAP
- Use Proxy Yes
- Proxy Address 172.022.002.038
- Port Number 8080
- Username saf
- Password data
- Press Save
- Go back to More and Select Advanced
- Change Homepage Select it
- Name Safaricom
- Address mms.gprs.safaricom.com
- Press Save
Go to Main Menu > Messaging > Settings > Picture
- Validity Period Maximum
- Delivery Report On
- Creation Mode Alert
- Picture Scaling Off
- Auto Download Always
- Accept Messages Anonymous
- Message Server mms.gprs.safaricom.com
- WAP/Internet Profile Safaricom MMS
Go to Messaging > Settings > WAP Push > Allow push > Always
Press Back twice
